what I like about xcancel is that it allows me to read but protects me from giving in to the temptation of wasting time by engaging in fruitless discussions. same problem with reddit. funny thing is that my current account just got permanently banned due to ban evasion ... that's fantastic as I can still join and read subs but I cannot post or comment.

as I use it the increment is regarding the minutes. for 30 minutes I tap 30 times. given that it's all open source you could certainly change increments to 30 seconds.

I really like my F91W case with a Sensor Watch Pro board and accelerometer sensor.

My favorite features:

- Piezo alarm is much louder.

- Countdown time can be incremented by tapping the watch.

- LED color can be changed by adjusting RGB values.

- It features sunrise/-set and moon phase info/calendar.

- I changed the week day names to German abbreviations.

- There are lots of intriguing watch faces that you can compile into your firmware.

Sadly, the project is in some disarray as the originator apparently lost interest and the community isn't moving uniformly. Would love to see such a project for Casio with 4 buttons as this would allow for a lot more interesting use cases ... the pinnacle would be a board for their calculator watches. That would be rad.

The Sensor Watch forum on Discord is pretty active.

I agree. Maybe that example was chosen because what chose it was an LLM fed with data up until about 2025 and nowadays that is sadly what "hacking" has become - cartoonish, pointless toy projects ... like the infamous make Doom run on a washing machine.

most medical professions have higher rate. it's usually attributed to being constantly subjected to pain and suffering plus physicians can source pharmaceuticals to exit softly. never heard that it professionals are particularly prone to suicide.

As someone who grew up with Windows the canonical equivalent action would have been to select "install" from the dmg file's context menu (which is opened by a right click). The MacOS way to do it feels too gimmicky and different-for-being-different's sake ...
