I got email offer from Snowflake with numbers after a full round of office interviews. They first matched me with a team and then themselves decided to pivot me to another team. I wasn't feeling fully interested in second team's work; the manager told me it's completely OK to explore with 1-2 hiring managers before accepting. I asked the recruiter to help connect. The next email was "Thank you for your time!" and ghosting on all follow ups.

For me, I can push through and not install the social media apps. I have noticed I'll start doing some other screen time activity like browsing HN more, or news site. The usefulness is higher but still am unable to trade off total screen time.

Tesla wasn't my first EV but the second one. So to partially answer your question, I didn't feel Tesla is a good value for money compared to Chevy Bolt (which was my first EV). I still believe it so. The newer models of Bolt drive even better. Tesla's build quality feels lower (cheap paint, body parts that don't seem to fit well, shitty UX with the single tablet screen)

I would still buy a Bolt over Tesla but I needed an electric SUV & model Y is the only option.

Ask HN: What are some good startups that a CS grad student should intern at?

My thinking on what could make a particular startup a good place to intern would be - 1. It has a strong engineering team, so the internship provides good learning and an opportunity to build good network. 2. The product is exciting and requires strong CS skills (as opposed to one that requires stronger marketing) 3. The startup is doing good, so there's a possibility of future full-time job.
