I think that it's analogous to when my genitals are fondled by a TSA agent because I opt out of body scans. The memory of the feeling of them caressing my shape lives on only in their brain instead of being permanently recorded in a database.

I worked with a telecom provider's data center that ended up having a quad redundant diesel generator failure during the first cold snap that took the Texas grid offline a few years back. They had at three fuel supplies gel and then failed to start. The fourth, as I remember, just didn't try to fire.

Good observation. I'd not really looked at it since we sold my wife's mini, which has been several years. The catalog was invaluable for all the work I had to do to keep it running.

Damping is restraining oscillation.

Dampening is making something wet.

This used to be the Sears Kenmore & Craftsman model where appliances were really Whirlpool, or Maytag, Carrier{1}.

Hand tools variously came from many OEMs like SK, Plumb, Knipex, and Williams{2}. I suppose they still do, now at Lowes, but the OEM is Chinese.

The AliExpress search term for similar devices is "trigger board" or "decoy board."

With regeneration you do have a desire to have power coming in from the wheels so a hard disconnect isn't desirable in all circumstances.

I know, by observation, on my Prius that "panic stop" brake pressure disconnects the hybrid system due to all the noise that the contactors make when this happens, vs. lighter braking within the regeneration limits. Braking and power never ever fight one another though. I've tried "power braking" the Prius, like you can with a normal automatic transmission car to load the engine, and it just doesn't do anything at all.

This article about the physically stuck pedals says that "Thankfully the truck cuts acceleration when you press the brake pedal..." but this seems to show otherwise.
