There is one area where MCP typically has challenges - Not a technical challenge but a practical challenge.

Imagine you are creating an asset which requires multiple API calls and your UI is designed to go through a 10-12 step setup process for that asset. In practice even if we give one tool for LLM to one-shot it, or even if we break it down into 10-12 tools the points of hallucinations are much higher.

Contrast this with "skills" and CLI.

For a typical B2B SaaS usecase (non technical employees) -> MCP is working great since its allows people to work in Chat interfaces (ChatGPT, Claude). They will not move to terminal UX's anytime soon.

So, I dont see why a typical productivity app build CLI than MCP. Am I missing anything?

Not exactly, for some ISP's, internet only works with Fitzbox. For other modems, you need to go through months worth of to and fro with ISP to even get them working

Generally speaking in B2B Apps, I think UX has improved quite a bit. End user workflows have improved in both usability and beauty for the masses (10-100's of Millions)

This seems to be a pattern across regions, across foods! I have said the same of Hyderabad and Biryani. But none the less, when someone asks for a recommendation, I give a 70th or 80th percentile near their stay. Better than them randomly walking to a 20th percentile place because it was well lit.

As a PM who works with multiple scrum teams / products - I agree with this and I understand where OP's message comes from as well. While I work with 4 teams, my involvement in each team is dependent upon the product mindedness of the team. I take care of internal/external enablement, customer documentation, bargaining design bandwidth exclusively for all the cases, for a couple of teams, I call team leads into more than half of my customer conversations, product strategy discussions. I believe the team collectively can decide the best work item for them 80% of times without my inputs. Only when org strategy or market reactions change, we reset.

That being said, product mindedness is hard for engineering teams. 2 of the teams I work with, I am giving them inputs on every single feature they need to build. While I dislike doing this for every feature, its upto how the engineering leader envisions their team to function. For some, unless there are jira tickets, properly prioritized, with designs ready, they dont want to involve engineering teammates.

Refund can be for orders which they were unable to deliver. Example:- Groceries. I get refund if even 1 out of 30 items is not available, that isn't a return. Are these 38 in 2020 all returns?

Is it any different from Ant Design (https://ant.design/)?

Also, almost every company I worked with (> 500 employees), eventually built their own UI components. And in every company, developers seldom use these, always customize or use something else.

Which brings the question - Why do we invest (internally) and open source components? Whats the value?

When JIO was launched, till it became the behemoth it is today, there were a series of some 20 regulatory changes in Telecom in India, all benefiting Jio at the right time, hurting their competition. When everyone is investing in Jio, I think its that absurdity everyone is investing in.
