Browsers are resource hogs, I'm not sure I'd want any 3D content more than is necessary. CSS alone is capable of hogging my CPU at 100%

I agree with this too. I witnessed the split too and feel exactly the same. Interestingly, NotABug have not switched to Gitea and is still running Gogs.
