These platforms have been running for years with obvious signs of insider trading. I guess it's better late than never that someone was caught officially.

This was always just a marketing gimmick to try and crush competitors using "safety" and fearmongering. Reminds me a bit of "don't be evil." Convenient catchphrases and mission statements for companies in their infancy, but immediately thrown out when more money can be made.

Microsoft - a company with tens of thousands of engineers and billions of dollars in cash (plus assets), cannot support anything legacy, while concurrently failing to deliver a working product on any modern device.
