I wouldn't argue with that much when looking at federal government (judicial branch excluded), but state and local governments have been varied in their responses, and most have been far from malice. In Chicago, my local alderman has been reactive to events (including non-covid matters, like storm damage) and informative about public services (especially with testing sites). Helpful and without cynicism.
I believe that national politics gets an undue spotlight, and that local government (in particular) does not receive the attention warranted.

Off topic, but your parenthetical has me curious: Did the Romans of antiquity generally agree on a single pantheon of Gods, or would it be more accurate to say that across the Roman population, there were 25 fertility gods represented?
Would love to hear from a history enthusiast!

Although this has been attempted before and was eventually reversed (as other posters have pointed out), it is probably worth your time to investigate and possibly prototype. It may not be a model that dominates the market, but you might be able to find your niche.

Sounds like my experience growing up in a rural area. My high school was on the other side of our county, so I was the first person on the bus every morning, 60 minute ride each way.
