FWIW, I think multinational corporations that engage in all manner of legal tax avoidance are probably more of a problem than individual billionaires.

This is completely backwards, they have the MOST skin in the game. They are the ones that are going not going to have things we take/took for granted like: living and working in the EU or being able to enjoy a pension.

Not all government subsidies, benefits, etc are supposed to help everybody equally, this should not be a hard concept to grasp and yet comments like yours are so common that it makes me think that people don't really understand how taxes and government spending works.

Friend of mine was on the middle lane on the motorway when somebody switched on to his lane and braked hard.

He crashed against but wasn't deemed at fault by insurance.

Not saying that this is what happened, btw.
