I’d caution against using the word ‘deserve’ so loosely. While you may see it as meaning ‘imperial Japan had to be stopped by any means necessary’, it comes off more like retribution. It comes off like a bloodlust for revenge.

In general, ‘deserve’ should always be followed with ‘because…’. Just saying x deserves y assumes we agree on: what x did, an ethical/moral system, and that y is the best punishment/reward in that ethical/moral system.

Any modern car can haul some trailer, but plenty of ‘cars’ shouldn’t be used to haul plenty of trailers. Just because a vehicle can pull a trailer forwards doesn’t mean it can do so safely. Brakes, suspension, or frame a Stiffness may be inadequate. Please stay within your vehicles tow rating!

That’s a weird question, I’m not sure what you mean by safe. The source [1] was the 3rd result on Google. You could build it yourself. The author puts their real name and face on the project.

This works on Windows, plenty of devices or iOS versions are without a jailbreak, and plenty of users don’t want to jailbreak. It’s not exactly an alternative to Cydia either.

‘Programs carefully designed to use UTC’ would only irreversibly break by very slowly becoming out of sync with the rotation of the earth.

A few applications should switch standards, the question is whether solar concerned applications should switch to UT1, or continuity concerned applications should switch to TAI. The former is simpler, easier, cheaper, and only causes unexpected behavior (quite slowly), NOT systematic failure.
