I tried it a few months back but as soon as you want a project that has multiple containers using compose all sorts of issues start popping up. Like it "forgets" which containers it started and then can't stop them any more or now you have 2 containers of the same service running even though coolify only recognizes one.

I think if you do register each service separately in coolify it runs OKish.

But I've now switched to the same setup as you had and ironically it has been so much simpler to run than coolify.

I'm really happy people are working on projects like coolify, but currently it's far from ready for any serious use (imo).

I just checked these commands out to update my git knowledge, but when I saw the following in the docs [1][2] I immediately marked these commands as not (yet) worth it to learn since the way these commands work might change.

  THIS COMMAND IS EXPERIMENTAL. THE BEHAVIOR MAY CHANGE.

So that might have something to do with it as well. Especially if there are stable commands that I already know that have the same functionality.

What you're describing sounds a bit like Lemmy [0]. In essence it's a federated reddit. Anyone can host their own instance with its own rules/topic. And each instance can have communities (subreddits). You can subscribe/comment to any of the other instances' "subreddits" from your own instance.

I discovered Fireship and Jack Herrington[1][2] only last month.

I normally never subscribe to channels on Youtube but these 2 are so good for both getting a clear explanation on what you want to learn and keeping up-to-date with what's to come.

It's not that it's a barrier, but it's unclear that you need an account before being able to use the site.

I clicked on the PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch buttons a few times, the page seemed to flash for a second and then... nothing.

But as [lifekaizen explained](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24569307), no signup with then the option to save when signing in would be even better.

Note that they said "React + Redux". And that combo indeed takes a lot more time to get set up and understand the first time.

I used this lib to get it to work: https://www.npmjs.com/package/typesafe-actions I wouldn't even know how to get it to work with just the regular react & redux types.

This doesn't seem to do as much as API Platform though?

In API Platform you can just define an entity and it will automatically expose CRUD endpoints for that entity [1].

While in NestJS it seems you still need to define each action manually [2].

It's too bad cause I'm really looking for something like API Platform in Typescript.

I used md + pandoc for my resume before as well, but I wanted some more possibilities in changing the layout of the pdf. I remember needing to do some stuff in LaTeX to do that but I don't know that very well.

So I took a different approach with node. I have a yaml file with my cv data [1] in it and I render this in an ejs template to html+css. That html then gets transformed to a pdf. The result can be seen here [2] And the source code here [3]

There seems to be a maximum length on the email address field when registering? (32 characters) My email address is longer than that.

After registering (with a different email :)) the sound didn't seem to work.
