<p>Many years ago I has some pretty good experience with a FrogPad. See <a href="http://www.frogpad.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.frogpad.com/</a><p>Maybe it is possible to find one sold used. I think they are not available new anymore.<p>There different versions for left and right hand use.</p>

<p>Reminds me of the old days. When X11 was not correctly secured, i.e., most of the time, it was possible to remotely login to someone‘s system, take a screenshot of :0 and display it on :0. :0 is the local display, so the computer seemed to be frozen.<p>More funny when all were in the room. :-)</p>

<p>Ah, the memories. First DKB Trace, then the newly renamed POV-Ray.<p>Left the computer on for hours to get tiny pictures.<p>Adding a 387 was a huge step forward; IIRC approximately a 10x speedup.</p>

<p>This reminds me if scenes from the movie Idiocracy. They were mostly right about our future society (the movie is from 2005).<p>One thing they got wrong though. It did not take humanity 500 years to reach this depicted state.</p>

<p>Yes, I was using the term thin client as they did in the article. DeX actually tries to make the phone the only computer one needs. Just connect a screen and either use the phone as keyboard/mouse or connect a physical device.<p>This might be even more interesting with Samsung TVs which allow wireless DeX. Have not seen this in action though.</p>
