When the norm on HF daily papes is a pdf, a website, & a git, corp. thinkpieces like this are going to have to work a lot harder to get any meaningful engagement and onward corp word-of-mouth. like i now think stripe has fallen a but, where before they were tier...

this is the risk you run putting out subpar content in a world where the norms and appetites shift daily. slightly unfair? yes, as stripe has never been one to shine in the "corp infra open source" category tho; Which is crazy because it doesn't reflect the ridiculous talent they have internally.

I looked into how rust does does it for rustup, and they have a pretty amazing set of gh actions to build for their architectures, I can't find the GH link now tho

this is dope! I bought a pair of pinebuds to do something similar but got pulled into another project.

my use case was to tape one pine bud to my shoulder to wear all day, and it would bluetooth connect to my android keyboard app, with the simple goals

#1) always record my voice even if I have another headset connected to the phone. I.e., do not get interrupted by incoming calls, spotify, or other bluetooth jank

#2) only do STT on my voice, bonus if you can figure out context and only do STT when i'm talking to the phone (via eyeballs?)

#3) always put the generated STT into a form, or if no form has focus, spawn a new browser tab and put focus on the search-input form

that's all. fin
