This is utterly ridiculous. Unless you're a long-time Unix hacker or system administrator (I was the latter for ten years), trying to do anything in Linux is time-consuming, difficult, and ultimately very frustrating. Desktop Linux was always be a backwater for techies and it has absolutely no hope of widespread adoption like Windows or macOS.

I find that if I get eight hours of sleep at night, I can move mountains. But if I only get 7.75 hours of sleep or less, my eyes feel tired all day and I'm only half as productive. I've never understood why there is such a marked difference between eight hours of sleep and almost anything less than eight hours. There's something chemically going on inside that I don't understand. The problem I'm having now is that I can get a good five or six hours but I wake up after that fifth or sixth hour and can't get back to sleep long enough to get that ideal eight. This problem is seriously affecting my career and I don't know what to do. I do do moderate to vigorous exercise five times a week but that doesn't always help.

As long as we're having a big bitch-fest here, I'll throw in my $.02. Other than expanding batteries, my laptops have generally been trouble-free. But the problem I do have is that the older my MBP, the slower it becomes when I upgrade the OS. When I upgraded my 2015 to Big Sur last year, it essentially became unusable because it ran so slowly. It now sits in my closet. Apple should stop nagging you to upgrade the OS if your hardware wasn't built to support the newer versions. Just give us security updates and leave the rest alone. I think that would make a lot of users happy.

Top 3%er here and I rarely use Stack Overflow anymore. I got so tired of the snarky answers to questions (both mine and others) and peoples' ability to downvote you without giving any justification. I've been there for 12 years but fortunately, in that time, I've become a good enough developer that I can generally figure out my own problems. And if I get stuck, I'll go to the relevant Google group or to a sub Reddit. Stack Overflow is no longer relevant to me.

While I'm new to Webflow, I get a feeling that some people try to push it too far. It seems to me that it's mostly a no-code tool meant for basic "brochure" sites with some modest CMS capabilities built in. And for many, many businesses, that's sufficient. It provides additional design flexibility for those who understand HTML and CSS. If you're making a site that's so complex that you need version control, you should probably be using a web application framework. But, in a pinch, you can always export your code and do VC on that. Just my $.02.
