Exactly. Creative Cloud launcher digs its greedy fingers deep in your system, running hundreds of processes and constantly phoning home. It’s the model I point to when people say they want alternate app stores. I would much rather download apps individually from the App Store, or at worst a dmg.

The Play Store is absolutely not malware free unless you don’t consider apps that take over your launcher and Lock Screen, serve you ads, and links to their own apps malware. Had to remove this garbage from my grandmother’s Pixel

I’ve been using addy.io for quite some time now. I have a burner tld and every time I sign up for something new I input servicename@mytld.com. Addy forwards that email to the email I have chosen. Works doubly better if you don’t use gmail as your inbox.

Bought full license some time in 2014. Watched them disintegrate into subscription hell while making the apps worse. Moved everything to Firefox and Apple Passkeys. They integrate better with my workflow anyway.

It'd have to be something like AI both solves climate problems while making it profitable to do so. I'm not talking about greenwashing, but using machine learning to solve hard science problems and tying them to economic benefit. Dear AI overlord, I'm trying to start a new business and this is my idea… Dear valued chat user, your business can be 125% more profitable if you can address this climate problem as these 3 VCs are ready to unload dump trucks of cash into the space.

Good god that UI is such a waste of space with tiny buttons and half the screen used for background mountains. Why are the skip track buttons down next to the home button? What does the plus symbol do? What are the icons on the black bar for? Why does the whole thing look like Windows Vista? The auto industry does not truly understand how to build an interface.

Edit: If I spent that much on a car I would be furious to turn it on and find that interface.
