I assume you meant Crunchyroll. They've gotten even worse recently by moving away from .ass subtitles which removes a ton of typesetting options

I think op meant the subjective feeling of having a system that runs in a stable manner.
I don't quite follow their reasoning either (maybe the smaller changesets expose compatibility bugs before affecting general ux?), but I agree that arch was a joy for me to use and felt "stable".

Well, NASA tried that originally but didn't have the budget, and in that sense it's better late than never to fund something different.
The reasoning as presented just doesn't reflect reality.

For the android spot I'd like to recommend Seal: https://f-droid.org/packages/com.junkfood.seal/
It's "just" a yt-dlp frontend with a nice UI, meaning it works with sites other than youtube as well.
It also adds a quick-download option to the android sharing menu when sharing a link, which I've found incredibly convenient.

In terms of losing a ship, probably not too bad. The ground equipment might take a bit longer to replace, and they will probably want to understand what happened here before continuing.
Or, as you suggest, this was a more stressing test than usual, but I doubt they'd do that with a complete ship like this.
