I started doing some stuff myself as well. Still very much in-progress, but I felt that obsidian was a way bigger hammer than I needed, yet still I found edges that didn't cover my workflow
Ended up building: https://crom.ai/
Here is a little write-up / more details on how it's built: https://notes.rolandpeelen.com/notes-on-building-crom

Hey HN!
Started out with an idea over the holidays to start building a system that creates daily digests of content I follow as a podcast, such that I can listen to it when commuting.
The first one is one that takes the top articles of HN in the last 24 hours and builds them into a podcast. It took forever to tweak it in such a way that it doesn't sound 100% AI, isn't too sensational, but also not extremely boring. I've been tweaking over the past weeks to get it just right and I'm pretty happy with what comes out of it now. I've just submitted / got them all up and running on Spotify and Apple Podcasts and so kind of - launching it?
- Apple Podcasts link: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/hackernews-daily/id179...
- Spotify Link: https://open.spotify.com/show/6WQFgIvfC2NiMCFRINre5P?si=3f71...
I have some future ideas that would make this even better for me
- Build more shows like this (next is probably a daily digest of news in and around Amsterdam - as I live there). Possibly in such a way that you could create a tailor made podcast. Like, 3 HN articles, Weather in Amsterdam, and 2 Amsterdam news articles, or something like that.
- Build some integrations, so it can be a bit more personal. Like, my current location for the weather, or maybe even my calendar for a personalized intro message.
Would love to hear your questions, thoughts, ideas, and things that can be improved!
Little Thread on X with some more info on how I built it: https://x.com/rolandpeelen/status/1879261341476942010

Ballpark is around 2k for the boat ones - give we have some cad models to work with. Depending on the complexity of the scene and options we usually have something online within a month after signing off

We so have pricing https://konfig.xyz/pricing (perhaps I need to make it more visible).
There is some upfront cost in the modeling, but we don’t really make / want to make money there. So everything essentially goes to the 3d party. We’ve partnered with a great company in the Ukraine but you can always also do it yourself
We have some basic docs at docs.konfig.xyz - which need some love, but happy to help anyone get up and running :)

I made https://konfig.xyz/ after making about 6500 images for a product configurator. Instead of using images, we use 3d models. Initially quite simple and for use with relatively flat scenes (ie - no tree like structure for options / scenes) but grown over time to sort of support those too.
The main use case are fixed-in-size products that can be customize-able. So colours and materials, but also swapping one object for another, or turning one on or off (imagine rims on a car, or a bow thruster on a boat).
We tried saas’in it completely, but the onboarding is proving to be quite hands-on. So we’ve partnered with a 3d firm that does the 3d work so we can focus ok building software

I've been working on a note-taking tool / daily todo-app: https://crom.ai/ - Currently in closed beta. It uses basic markdown and some additional custom elements to annotate data.
The idea is that you get a daily for every day, with the items ticked off on the last day removed. So a new daily every day. At the same time, there is some integration with AI to get feedback on things to break down. You can give it some instructions, focus, and also tune the amount of feedback.
I've had this in so many incarnations before, but never made it 'properly'. It's a pet project, but do want to release it at some point.
I'm adding people to the beta bit-by-bit.

I’m afraid they aren’t as both ‘map’ and ‘flatmap’ are defined as a single function; ‘then’ (so it won’t hold true to the monad laws).
