I do not get it. So what if they get there "first"? OpenAI will get there in 3-6 months, China will get there in a year or less. As seen with Opus/Fable.

That is why it is not a "List of things you can have tomorrow" but a "Luxury list".

When you have time, health and no stress - that is the luxury OP is talking about.

You don't even need to make more money if you have all those things. If you know your health is insured and you are healthy, you have a decent place where you can feel safe and sleep until late mornings and you do not have to worry about how much food costs - you basically live like a king.

Agree, isn't this precisely what credit-card companies promise to cover? I'd think I would just claim flight-interruption with the credit card insurance and it should cover all expenses.

I think after the AI crash the biggest winner will be Apple.

They will release MacBook Pro M10 or whatever that can comfortably run Opus5 levels of performance local model for software development/general ai that is baked in the MacOS for 7k USD.

They are just not as good. I bought GoPro10 ~5 years ago and it constantly overheats. Very unreliable. It was the first and last time I bought GoPro.

In my experience memory system is more annoying then helpful. It always brings up things that it memorized even tho they make very little sense as if I should be impressed that it knows some extra thing or two.

Could not take it any longer and switched it off.
