Yes, I do things like this too. Planning works great, but the same is true for making write-ups after completing a task. In this case you'd ask the agent to write up a document with all the rules for your refactoring based on the current thread (where you have discovered the rules with the agent as you go). Let it include examples and let it pause and report back to you if it comes across a situation that isn't fully covered by the current rules yet so you can review it ,update the rules, and then let it continue

+1 for Superwhisper. It has an offline model for transcription. And it transcribes with very high accuracy for me and great speed.

It seems a bit like this is reinventing what Linked Data (RDF) and Solid PODs already do. Solid: Personal storage repositories and granting access to different apps to read/write to it. Linked Data: you can link to other people's data with IRI's (URLS) and a common format is JSON-LD.

What's different here and why is it better? Do we really need another standard / protocol?

have you compared Windsurf (previously codeium, had to look it up) to Github Copilot agent or ChatGPT? I'm mostly still using ChatGPT's App integration. It can see my currently open files in webstorm and can directly suggest and apply changes from the app. And I find the suggestions better then JetBrain's AI integrations. But curious about Windsurf / CoPilot Agent

have you tried the CoPilot agent tab in Github copilot chat in Webstorm? I wonder if/why you find using it through VSCode better in any way then using it directly in WebStorm.

This + the fact that we've seen microbes come back to life after being frozen in polar ice for millions of years always seems like the most obvious explanation for the origins of cellular life on earth to me.

In other words, what's the chance that the immense complexity of cells did evolve from a molecular soup here on earth VS the chance that it formed somewhere in the universe and found its way here (and many other places)

wildy pedantic? I found it enlightening that without the properties of the quantum waves / particle clouds a molecule could not be. So it seems pretty crucial then to consider the perspective of particles as quantum waves. Which is not something I'm very familiar with. So I really enjoyed this article.

Instead you want to avoid/deny eventual natural death for ever? Fight it? To be at peace with the process of aging and the thought of eventually dying is not the same as suicidal thinking.

I cannot see a world in which fighting and avoiding natural death can take healthy forms. All matter decays. All things recycle. We have material bodies, hence we are part of the cycle of life. The old giving way to the new is a necessity for growth & evolution. I would even say it's beautiful. And healthy.

that's a crucial detail that I did not read in the article. I've seen Next.js mentioned a lot, but havn't gotten to trying it yet. Reading the article I wasn't sure if this meant I would have to adopt Next.js. I definitely suffer from build tool configuration fatigue, so if it had to be through next.js (a new system for me) it's a lot less interesting, for me, in this moment.

I agree. Semantic data would mean that others can easily understand the meaning of the data. In the semantic web this would be by using ontologies, which define the types of things and relations between these types of things. But just having your schema visible doesn't mean anyone understands it straight away, they would still need to make an effort to understand the schema of that specific application. And the schema is probably unique to that application. The end result is pretty much the same as for example exposing your database as a GraphQL endpoint. Take "The Graph" a web3 project exposing data of many different blockchain projects as GraphQL endpoints. It's nice, but I still need to make an effort to understand the meaning of each property in each endpoint. And a "transaction" in one project is not linked to the meaning of a "transaction" in another. A bit off topic, but ironically I therefor don't find the name 'The Graph' to be all that accurate.

Point in case: YES to at least remembering that web3 is (also) the Semantic Web. But no, this solution is not semantic data.

Imho - the only good explanation of why anything exists is that whatever 'is' has always been, is all there is, and is nothing of itself at all. Contemplating that infinite & eternal nature of our existence reconnects me with the magic & mystery of life. It awakens in me a gratitude, an awe, a wonder, a not knowing.. On a practical level - chi qong, yoga, pranayama, sauna/cold plunge, shaking, running, love making, meditating, reading the diamond sutras, beach cleanups, gardening.. whatever calls in the moment and makes me feel more alive, more connection, love, joy, appreciation, etc

Ask HN: Can a SAFE agreement be used before setting up a legal structure?

My and a small team are in first contact with investors. We're considering using (the equivalent of) a SAFE agreement to receive first investment. We don't have a legal structure though, and ideally we'd use some of the first investment money to get some advice about how & where to properly setup the legal structure.

Is this possible with a SAFE agreement? Can it be signed / backed by a person? Or does it have to be an agreement connected to an existing legal construct?
