Agreed. E-bikes have gotten my elderly relatives moving too. From essentially sedentary to active on a daily basis.
Teens + other able bodied people are inactive for reasons unrelated to ease of pedaling.

This is cute, but the real reason our teens are inactive & unsocial is because of awful zoning laws + exurban sprawl. It’s not realistically possible to meet your friends anywhere, their homes are too far away & there aren’t any third-spaces to spend time at.

This is mostly my experience, except that I DO know the problems.
I don’t get to define the deadlines, that’s up to someone in a department entirely unrelated to engineering. Therefore I only have time to ship fragile, barely-tested code which is built on fragile untested legacy code.

The prison-industrial complex in the United States encourages this. While less than 10% of prisoners are in “for-profit” prisons, there’s a large industry of private companies beyond this that profit off federal prisons; in addition to providing cheap prison labor or goods made by prison laborers (AKA modern slavery)

Interestingly, I've tried KDE multiple times on different devices & each time there's a Wifi issue that's not present in any other linux desktop. Even the steam deck's default steamos has this issue in desktop mode.
I suspect it's something related to my wireless router, but non-KDE desktops work perfectly fine so I'm mildly confused.

I'm happy to see that this usage of Godot has continued. I've been interested in using Godot for application development since I saw their official "Apps & Tools - 2022 Showreel"[1] video. The only concern I see commonly mentioned is in terms of accessibility (lack of screen reader support, etc.) - which could be a major drawback for certain types of software.
[1] https://youtu.be/9kKp0oguzr8?si=tib32MgkXFqri7mC

There’s not much to talk about here. Of course you won’t improve when a third party is producing your code.
That being said, I’m interested to see what happens to LLM effectiveness over time as the amount of LLM-generated code starts infecting training data.

I’ve been a happy Kagi customer for probably 2 years(?) now. Highlights for me, as a professional:
- I can blacklist low-value domains (such as geeksforgeeks) that dominate the top of many programming searches.
- I can increase/decrease the priority of domains or pin domains to the top of searches, such as official documentation for languages/libraries.
- I can use “Lenses” to filter results for programming/academic/forum results.
