New comment by safeimp in "New Apple TV 4K"

This is where I'm at too, really wish Apple supported passthrough. The Shield continues to work but it's a bit sluggish now and needs a new gen.

There are comparable devices like Ugoos (am6b+ with coreelec) and Zidoo but they're a little sketch compared to the aforementioned...

Yes, I've been encountering this for weeks (because that's how long it has taken indexing to run...) and my workaround has been to switch to GooglePhotos since I backup everything to it.

Apple search in Photos has always been garbage so I almost always flip over to Google Photos anyway.

The book Moonwalking with Einstein covers Patient S and memory in general. It's an enjoyable and quick read on the topic, would definitely recommend.

> If you’re a Firefox user, you may have noticed a weird new extension that suddenly showed up in your browser this week. > The extension is called “Looking Glass 1.0.3” and this is its description: MY REALITY IS JUST DIFFERENT FROM YOURS. Now that sounds ominous. It’s really not, though. It’s a promotional campaign between Firefox and the TV series Mr. Robot that brings an alternate reality game to your browser. This must have sounded like a great idea when somebody pitched it to Mozilla, but the backlash has been fierce.

If this topic interests you, I recommend `Antisocial: Online Extremists, Techno-Utopians, and the Hijacking of the American Conversation`, by Andrew Marantz. Great read but it's definitely stress inducing at times.

It depends what you're looking for. In the AV enthusiast circles a lot of people flock towards the Ugoos AM6B Plus (with CoreELEC).

It is one of the only devices (alongside Oppo clones) that can play Dolby Vision Profile 7 FEL (Full Enhancement Layer) with 100% accuracy. The Shield can play P7, but it ignores the FEL data; the Ugoos actually processes it.

That said, people don’t generally use Android on it, instead you boot to CoreELEC from an SD card and use Kodi.

Trying to starve yourself of manganese would cause harm long before it affected Borrelia.

Not only mammals (hence, this post).

Read about it, mammals will yawn when other non-mammals yawn.

Good advice. Additionally, I’d recommend that with any supplement you evaluate the source you’re buying from. I typically use Nootropics Depot (avoiding linking so this doesn’t look like a full blown add - check my history though, not a shill) and they use 3rd party lab testing to back up claims.

If not, any recommendations for alternative projects?
