I am a big fan of Vite. But I have zero clue what those other tools are. I swear to God, I just put my head down to do some work and all the sudden, frontend tooling has evolved. I wonder if there is a push towards a "boring but works" stack.

This is my little app. I was sick of copying images from Pinterest and doing the posterising in photoshop when I was doing value studies as painting practice so I made a site which does the entire workflow in one bit. Happy painting!

I’m working on a GitHub quality gate that checks your PRs, guesses if it’s a total vibe coded piece of shit, and then grills the dev to check if they actually understood what they wrote. This way, my time as a reviewer doesn’t get wasted.

Inspired by my experience at my day job.

I run an art training app and one of the features I am working on is AI generated critique (it's an app for training realism.) And I noticed if I gave the AI the original image, the tonal breakdown of the image the app generates as well as the user's drawing, it delivered critique far better and more targeted.

The opportunity is in building ethical software that respects users needs

I donated - it's valuable software and I love it very much. My feeling is as long as it's not hounding me for future payments i.e. calling me up during the day, it's fine.

News sites are going irrelevant anyways. I'd imagine they are pushing hard for this because traffic has died cause AI overviews have hit direct traffic to websites and independent writing platforms like Substack / Medium mean I can read a quality opinion on a matter I care about.

I noticed that the orders hasn't bumped up that much since this was shared last time. Not really sure I see the growth here is showing a lot of demand for a European smartphone - although I could totally be wrong given the geopolitical situation.

A lot of teenagers complain they spend too much time on social media and this will put some friction that wasn’t present before. I assume this will put a dent in traffic for companies like SnapChat etc. so I wonder how those companies will react.
