Something about Claude logo looking like Kurt Vonnegut's drawing in Breakfast of Champions always made me hesitant to use Claude.

I clicked hoping to see if it included cat themed art from Japan and was not disappointed.

I had a similar experience and haven't seen it put this way before. Great point about false positives.

I tried search the symbol (Bean Logo1) and it didn't give me the correct results on google. This seems problematic for a stablecoin.

Rising inflation says otherwise. Worst effects may be yet to come.

New comment by saltdoo in "“The Wound Talks to You”: The Nightmares of John Berryman"

saltdoo — Sat, 03 Jul 2021 12:45:01 +0000

Ah yes, Berryman. Here's my old favorite of his:

Life, friends, is boring. We must not say so.
After all, the sky flashes, the great sea yearns, we ourselves flash and yearn, and moreover my mother told me as a boy (repeatingly) ‘Ever to confess you’re bored means you have no

Inner Resources.’ I conclude now I have no inner resources, because I am heavy bored. Peoples bore me, literature bores me, especially great literature, Henry bores me, with his plights & gripes as bad as achilles,

who loves people and valiant art, which bores me. And the tranquil hills, & gin, look like a drag and somehow a dog has taken itself & its tail considerably away into mountains or sea or sky, leaving behind: me, wag.

Exactly. The 'God' discussed here seems to imply ethics which the creator of all things would not be subject to. Why would the creator of all things have an issue with killing folks via weather, since all humans die?

I had to google the word 'mollycoddling' and now feel the urge to use this word in conversation. Perhaps popularizing this fun term will help to de-virtue-ize this phenomenon!

New comment by saltdoo in "Monetisation Is Key to Drive the Second Renaissance in the Creator Economy"

saltdoo — Tue, 04 May 2021 11:46:26 +0000

It will be interesting to see if some of these monetization methods actually help creators and actually stick around. Skeptical of a lot of these that are good for PR but minimal in helping smaller creators.
