Do you have any references for "vibe coded monoliths tend to collapse in on themselves at ~30,000 LOC"? I haven't personally vibed up anything with that many LOC, so I'm legitimately curious if we have solid numbers yet for when this starts to happen (and for which definitions of "collapse").

It's fascinating that easing, which is what this article mostly boils down to, is something that each new generation seems to need to (re)discover on their own. I remember being fascinated by Yugo Nakamura's experimental websites back in the late 90s because they were some of the first that I'd seen that had an organic feel due to liberal use of easing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLt7Gwnt3WY

It's great to see simple non-productized playfulness on the internet again.

All the fun experiments on https://play.ertdfgcvb.xyz/ remind me of Yugo Nakamura's now-defunct site http://yugop.com/ from back in the early 2000s.

You can catch a little glimpse of his style with the bottom menu on https://web.archive.org/web/20040804050646/http://www.yugop...., but unfortunately the main body of the site (which was the best bit) doesn't work anymore because it was built with Flash.

Some of his current work with https://tha.jp/ still has a great organic fun feel to it.

This is a very long-standing problem that Stack Overflow has had so it's good to see them taking it seriously (regardless of whatever the underlying motivations may be).

I feel sorry for the poor n00bs who come here thinking it's awesome, ask a seemingly innocent question, and then get shouted/voted down for asking a dupe and not searching properly before they asked. And yes, I said 'shouted down', because despite what a lot of experienced users many think, that's what it'd feel like for a new user who's unfamiliar with the S/OFU culture.

The integrity of this article is completely undermined by the fact that the author is a senior research fellow at the Australian Catholic University and then includes self-serving, biased and inflammatory statements such as "the curriculum is awash with references to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and spiritual values with minimum reference to the benefits and value of Western civilisation and the importance of the Enlightenment and Judeo-Christianity".

I have young children in an Australian public school and find his statement above to be empirically false. Our school offers 'Religious Education' classes (Christianity only, no other religions) once a week. While on the other hand, NAIDOC Week (which celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements, and recognises Indigenous Australians' contributions to our country) barely gets mentioned at school.
