<p>Thanks for the feedback, and that's a great idea I should have done that!  They are extracted and added each turn, all handled by the same middleware proxy that also handles the retrievals. I put the full code for that (memory_proxy.py) in the article.</p>

<p>Yes you are correct, most are horrible.  I built my own as a hobby because I wanted to go back to the "ten blue links" model of the early Internet, but freely admit that model is now dead with the majority of end-users asking their AI assistants instead. Gemini is vital to Google as a result.</p>
