Probably unfair to class Cloudflare as "degraded" they have over 300 PoPs theres always going to be some in maintenance mode and re-routed

An airline pilot told me his only ever engine-failure event was on a flight from Dubai to Beijing, they were over half-way when one of the four engines failed. Company told them to return back to Dubai, logistically they were never going to get a new engine to Beijing

The 3-2-1 backup rule is pretty outdated in the world of cloud. You could have 3 complete copies of your data in different S3 buckets, but if they're all under the same account you've lost your blast radius protection

It seemed to be about 20-30 minutes of timeouts and 502 errors, specifically for the `PER` PoP in Australia. They have now re-routed it, but took quite a long time for this to kick in.
