`jrnl` commandline tool does the same with a text file. You can sync it with dropbox and use the same journal across multiple machines.

Thanks for sharing this repo. While I don't have time to actively contribute to the code, I have been testing on images to share my feedback for future devs.

1. Background removal is working good on a lot of different types of images. This includes images with background, plain or white background, men, women, children, hair, and pets.

2. After background removal, the new image is warped in some areas. For example, I have a picture of a child eating ice-cream. The background was removed perfectly but left a lot of artifacts on the child. I can share those images for testing.

Please let me know if there are other areas I can test.

Thank you for this website. I tried so many time learning Morse and often failed. With this site, I picked up half the alphabet in 20 mins. All I can see now are "Tape", "Submarine", "Hippo" etc.

This looks like something google would do to get code samples to train its AI than anything the user would get in return. Also, it says experimental. Its Google's way of introducing someone as "Hello, meet my future ex-wife".

I am assuming the "doubling" might have come from delivery drivers and workers at warehouses mostly. Looks like the good folks who are let go are now mostly from non-engineering.

I am surprised how much less discussion takes place about cyberbullying and the deaths caused by it. I agree with freedom of speech but if it violates someones right to exist then shouldn't the culprits be punished? If not punished atleast have a legal process to discuss/debate it in the court of law? Thoughts?

I work in a Fortune 500 tech company in the Bay Area. Recently, I lost my mother to COVID in my home country and had to visit home to perform the funeral etc. Also, I have a young family here in the CA with a 3 year old child in autism spectrum.

I am feeling overwhelmed by the whole situation and need some guidance/pointers on how to cope with this. My spouse is very supportive but we both need some kind of professional help to avoid burnout. Any advice/help would be totally appreciated. Thanks hackers.

Thanks a lot for breaking down the problem. This choice is basically driven by the development team. It is my plan to maintain a single code base for all the services we are building. Right now even though all three engineers have experience in Java or Python or NodeJS, each one picks a language that they are very familiar with. We did one architecture discussion last week and the next one should probably be like the one you mentioned above. Thanks for your feedback

I am a new Engineering manager moving from a Sr. Software Engineer. I have a team of 3 engineers reporting to me. All three of them are very good engineers and enjoy their freedom while working for me.

The issue I have is the following: Each of them have their own tech stack when they build services. Python, NodeJS and Java. Now that I am the manager, I want them to move to a unified code base. What is the best way to start this conversation? Ideally, I want all of them to have a python code base so that other teams can easily onboard.
