The smart reason graphing calculators are banned is because students are meant to be learning a concept. You don't learn how to graph to pass a test you take a test so you're pressured to learn how to graph.
Same with AI. Having AI generate a for loop doesn't mean you understand the concept of a for loop. You can argue that it's a waste of time to learn about for loops because an AI can write one for you but that's a separate matter.

> Almost all decisions that businesses take have nothing to do with the proficiencies of technologies or engineering finesse, or even the best options, but mostly on “incentives” and who can take/own the “blame.”
This argument always confuses me because it seems like lower level employees are the ones that get quickly dismissed when things get bad while a lot of C level executives seem to have some sort of compensation even if they fuck up.

I read his blog and did some research before posting. I'm sure I don't get the intricacies of Swedish politics but anyone talking about the West being invaded by migrants is a big red flag for me. Maybe I would have had more tolerence about it in the past but my home country (US) has masked goons rounding people up and I've gotten burned from so many people who claimed to want sensible migration policies only to turn out to be virulent racists when they got in power.
Also, there are ways to keep companies from using migrant labor to undercut wages that don't involve mass deportation.

I'm really sad about it but I'm not going to renew Mullvad once the 6 months I already payed for are up.
I'm fine supporting companies that have people with poliical views I initially interested in Mullvad for political reasons and one of the founders giving a significant amount of money to a political group that wants to restrict the rights of other people is too much for me.
Not everyone is cynical. Some of us have actual values we act on.

I'm sorry it upset you. I thought it was funny but I'm also younger and I think I escaped most of the dextrocentric bullshit my parents' generation had to deal with.
It's philosophy, it's probably very dense prose. Formal Greek/Latin writing tended to have very long sentences with a bunch of subordinated clauses. People don't really write like that outside of academia or "highbrow" literature right now.
Casual letters and graffiti would be closer to tweets.

I can actually read Ancient Greek. LLMS are really bad at it.
> * ἐκ- = “out,” “thoroughly,” “to the end”
ἐκ is more motion away from something. It's often an intensifier in verb compounds but not really as a standalone preposition.
Ancient Greek is a very different language from English. I've found people who try to brute force it by looking up individual words without a knowledge of the grammar end up with a worse understanding of a text that someone who just reads in translation.
