Edgio was recently formed via the acquisition of Yahoo Edgecast by Limelight Networks. I am the hiring manager for a pair of roles working on the company's video streaming platform, called Uplynk. This platform has been used by many of the world's largest content producers and broadcasters to simplify their streaming workflows.

I'm looking to grow the team responsible for dynamic HLS and DASH manifest generation with a few folks with 5+ years of development experience. Experience with the following would make you stand out as a candidate:

Eh, iono. There are plenty of places with tech work outside of the bay area. And having a proven "works well remotely" on the resume seems likely to help find _other_ remote gigs down the road.

The issue I've read about (I'm not a security practitioner, more like a hobbyist) is that the sheer mass of bogus bounty submissions take valuable time to evaluate. If you start up a bug bounty program, you're essentially signing up to read hordes of submissions that you'll be obligated to check out, the overwhelming majority of which pan out to be nothing. And many (most?) of those, will contain petulant and arrogant demands that the bounty be paid even though the "finding" presented is no actual vulnerability at all.

I assume that someone who's configuring their router will also be configuring their children's devices in such a way that the children won't have permissions to make those changes.

OpenDNS is handy. You

1/ Sign up for an account 2/ Configure your home's router to use their DNS servers 3/ Install an agent on a machine in your home's network, authenticate it with your account credentials. When your router's IP address changes, this agent makes sure to update your account. 4/ Configure the sites or types of site you want to block.

Once you're up and running, If a DNS request from your network matches something that'd be blocked, you'll get re-directed to a "Blocked Content" page.

In case anyone in the thread above didn't know, there is a different set of stockfighter challenges to play that involves writing code that accesses a REST API that be more aligned with Susie's interests in that case.

edit: Ah, 'ReadingInBed beat me to it. tl;dr: Bandit approaches might not _always_ be the best, and they tend to take longer to reach a statistically significant result.
