Yes I know, that's not what I said though, with "here" being the US and "there" being China. Just taking language classes in the US for Chinese aren't likely to be helpful.

Why not? They're already competing with their customers, such as how Figma said they were blindsided by Claude Design all while they were still using the Claude API for their own use cases.

I don't understand the complaint, China will just continue progressing while the rest of the world falls behind. It'd be the same as it has always been in Chinese history, in terms of isolationism.

Not sure how they're perceiving using ChatGPT to plan an itinerary but I'm also doing all this while using ChatGPT. As I said in the sibling comment, it's a faster Google search and route optimizer, not something where I type in "make me an itinerary for X city" and follow whatever it shits out.

No need to trust me, just look at how China was 10 or 15 years ago to now. Beijing air pollution, more high speed rail than the rest of the world combined, electrification of vehicles and economy, etc.

Google's models are worse that OpenAI's, doubly so on Google's free AI overview versus ChatGPT paid plans. 6.1 Sol is very good at synthesizing actual information it finds without hallucinating and I've not seen any instances it failed while I checked the sources.

Again, strange viewpoint in the field of mathematics of all places, unlike, say, economics where doing something one shouldn't has disastrous real world consequences. Until it's discovered and proven, one doesn't know what would be valuable and what would not. I bet your sentence would not be said about humans trying to solve problems, no one would tell them they "shouldn't."

I have ChatGPT Pro and it sources every single thing. For my Asia trip right now it's been helping me every single day to figure out optimized routes on what to do and where to go (if I feel like it, not to say I don't wander around too).
