I use Todoist heavily, but I wish it was more focused on long-term goals. E.g., it doesn't support visualizations or a task having multiple dependencies. These are nice features of Plocs - I wish you success with this!

I thought your set was really funny. You established your character immediately, and then followed up perfectly with your first line which had everyone laughing from the start. I think people "got" it instantly which is why they even laughed at you rhyming off obscure facts about the bus system. Well done!

I gamified "real life" by using task tracking apps like Todoist. The dopamine hit from completing a real task was like that given by completing a quest in a game. Completed changed my relationship with gaming to a much healthier one.

On Windows 10, I use flux instead of the built in night light. flux gradually increases the strength of the night light over time, which I prefer to the fixed intensity of the Windows 10 night light.
Using night mode on PCs greatly reduced the eye strain and sleeping issues I was experiencing due to long days at the computer.

Like many linguistic relics better left buried, the phrase is usually only disconnected from historical context for those who may not fully appreciate the complex circumstances surrounding its origin. Around those who do, to use it like in the specific example you gave would be a faux pas to say the least.

In the first world war they apparently shielded the wearer effectively from debris caused by artillery shells that would have otherwise killed them. Here's an interesting video about the statistics behind it (and how they were misinterpreted at first): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IQE0uZUMys

As another comment pointed out, the game Eco has a very similar premise to Factorio (accelerating technology to achieve an important goal) but includes a complex environmental simulation that encourages players to work together. Worth checking out for those who got hooked on Factorio. Here's a link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/382310/Eco/
