<p>Nobody was talking about them betting too much on compute, people were saying that their shady deals on compute with NVIDIA and Oracle were creating a giant bubble in their attempt to get a Too Big To Fail judgement (in their words- taxpayer-backed "backstop").</p>

<p>Random people cure cancer for their dog, every business can vibe code an app to make their operations more efficient, anyone can launch a business with 10% of the effort it used to take.<p>The AI companies are only capturing like 5% of the value produced with this tech right now.</p>

<p>Tell claude what you do and ask it where it can be the most helpful. It is true that the tool has to be learned, and won't help everywhere. If you are doing web dev just to make a tool, it is purely magical. I've found it to be mostly useless in making geed helm charts.</p>

<p>The same way linux isn't. It's easy to start, all the base modifications/configurations are fairly simple, and if you find yourself deep into custom ways of using it, it's open source and fairly well documented with a large community.</p>
