NVIDIA driver progress has been massive over the past year, I wouldn’t consider it much less stable/supported than AMD cards.

They really had to release an updated model, I can only imagine how many people cancelled their plans and switched over to Codex over the past month.

Checkout DankMaterialShell[0], it's still in somewhat early stages of development but it supports both Niri and Hyprland. I just switched over to it from waybar in my Omarchy setup and have been loving it.

The Arch-based distros that most normies will install have AUR helpers instaled by default.

Thing have come so far in the past couple years that I'm not sure anything you mentioned is even a problem anymore. Global hotkeys work, pulse audio just works, screen sharing just works, redshifting is no issue?

Using SUPER+F for toggling fullscreen and SUPER+TAB to switch workspaces is basically the same workflow - it's just so much easier to customize Hyprland to be the exact way you want and Omarchy is a wonderful foundation for it. I found it had much better defaults and more intuitive customization than the Hyprland Hyprperks setup https://account.hypr.land/pricing

The small performance boost isn't the main reason most people install these distros instead of Arch, they rather have to spend hours reading the Arch wiki and instead want a GUI live boot installer, preconfigured desktop environments that just work with NVIDIA, built-in gaming-meta-packages that make gaming on Linux more bearable.

I just recently made to switch to base Arch from Cachy so I can run Omarchy without any issues and it did take several hours of extra setup just to have a working system but it is nice knowing how to do it now.
