As a bystander whenever there is a controversial decision, I see the response so incredibly toxic. I would curl up in my bed if I were to receive such a vitriolic response to what I say on a bad day or a mistake.

Imagine thousands possibly millions hating on you for weeks. It feels like a good idea to cut off any media as a founder and CEO to focus on your business. Pay no attention or off load it to someone else like PR. How do people deal with it? Should companies be run facelessly?

I'm fairly sure it has nothing to do with how I dress or look but simply because of stereotypes associated with Indians. If I was whiter, people would say fitness coach.

People behave differently behind a screen even if incentivised by money. This becomes a problem at the scale of big companies.

Eg - without body language, tone and context - everyone needs to be extra charitable to avoid miscommunication or distrust. This might cause people to be overly defensive in their approach to communicate.

That's not true. He claimed there are no tuk tuks outside of tourist centers. Tuktuks are mostly used by tourists and getting phased out by the government as they are deemed unsafe.

In your insurance case, I would say something like "I build tools to shield businesses from unexpected disasters like earthquakes or floods" or "I help people worry less about expenses during an emergency"

If someone asks me more, then I might add on that I work on software to automate claim process or similar.

This is more prominent among people who grew up with social media everywhere compared to ones who did not.

I do think there is some niche market where ethereum payments will shine but hard to beat free and instant systems already in place at far bigger scale.

Same in India. I tried using a neobank but quickly closed the account. They don't have the services traditional banks do and everything was slower than it is in my current bank. My current bank will pick up any paper and signature they need from home or deliver any documents to home the same day.

I get better Forex rate than wise or any startup. The target audience for these neobank are college students or new working people.

For reference, I use ICICI which is the third largest bank in India.
