I hope you're still checking comments: I had an idea for a way your app can really have some impact, maybe.
In short, your app, but for an elderly grandmother. She gets lonely, but the burden of answering gets spread across the family.
I think there's a real need for this. I'm pretty sure I read a write-up here by a guy who implemented something similar for his mother with dementia. She would call up incessantly.

It's clearly not random, it will mostly take pieces if they're available. It puts you in check on purpose, etc.

I beat it, so I don't think it's any good (I'm terrible).
But it also wasn't just random or anything, it played like a beginner.

Yes. Which makes damn good bread, as it turns out. It doesn't look quite as good as handmade, but it tastes great, has good texture etc.

That one does sound like hyperbole, or maybe he just works slowly as a human? People are different.
Likewise, I think they're having wildly different results. Look at how differently humans drive vehicles, and realize they're doing the same with compute. Some people probably are working at light speed, and some people are actually slower like in the study.

People are so desperate for [GP post] to not be true. Maybe it comes from a subconscious recognition that their own hard-earned skillset will inevitably become obsolete.
[More seriously, the comment you replied to doesn't put out any desperation. It's stated like a fact. It could easily be based on logic & reason, not emotional desperation.]

Do you think it matters that it's a different model?
Or is it more about the review process and a context reset?

Force the (planning) agent to plan a specification for anything you're doing. Ask the agent to break it down into small steps that can be isolated commits. Review these steps as you feed them to the (coding) agent. Work through them one at a time.
Actually look at the diff that's produced.
---
Basically, that's a clone of how I would work if I was the coder. I don't plan as well as agents, but I know what needs to happen better. But I work in small commits on isolated areas. The coding agent will screw things up if you have him winging it and making sweeping changes across a repo. So make it smaller, be specific, and maintain a traditional "small, non-breaking commit" workflow.
