Let me clarify. A "medically" standard dose. My personal preference would be 1-3g.

It did a relatively accurate report on the original Frontiers paper: https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/neuroscience/articles/1...

From the Frontiers paper: "The patient received 5 g of orally administered psilocybin-containing mushrooms (Enigma strain". i.e., a standard dose of 5g of mushroom.

Worked in Wang UK VS OS tech support in the early '90s.
Best memories:
- Figuring out how to get square root in COBOL (no built-in fn).
- Writing Conway's game of life in Wang assembler (more or less IBM 270/370 assembler).
Worst memories:
Quality Learning Process (QLP) - a completely ineffectual attempt to turn the company around by writing "working together for quality" on mugs, pencils etc. (at least that's how I remember it).

Same for me. 40-year "functional" alcohol dependency. Pattern of mostly avoiding drink during the week, desperate for Friday to come around, followed by poor sleep, tiredness, weight gain, regret.
A mushroom trip in Vancouver helped me understand the underlying cause of dependency, what I was running away from. That seemed to be all it took. The need was simply gone and the habit broken. Weekends are more like the energizing productive breaks they always should have been.
