Big source of my depressive feelings today come from this. I see people online quite excited about AI output, nobody cares anymore. This was supposed to be a tool to elevate the quality of work, not vomit things out and put out fires like Orks trying to land a flaming plane with no wheels.

The damage is done. If you're in engineering, think hard about using Claude for your work. This is not a moral company.

God bless the Chinese companies releasing true open source models. Imagine a world without them, we would be at the mercy of unscrupulous people.

My experience as well. Although this week I've moved to Cursor and Composer 2.5. It's so fast that any faults can be iterated on super quickly. The model is just insanely good with code things.

A sign of a bad developer is they cannot fathom switching from claude cli. In their mind it's claude or nothing. Despite things like codex existings. Opencode existing. Cursor + Compose 2.5 existing.

These are the new .net developers who will know nothing but c# for 20 years.

Kudos for sticking it out. But man EmberJS is basically CakePHP at this point. A relic of days gone by. May as well use Marionette or Backbonejs.

You should try Composer 2.5 within cursor. It's so fast, shockingly fast. Going back to gpt/claude is like using dial-up. And it's great for code work. So far nothing has really tripped it up backend, frontend or reporting metabase dashboard stuff. It's nuts.

I can't wait for China to start shipping hardware. I will vote with my wallet and have a chinese GPU, RAM and device. Hell, I would be using a Xiaomi phone right this second if this government didn't block it.

I don't know how you guys still use anthropic models and Claude Code. It's so unbearably slow. Yesterday I was on screenshare with a coworker that still uses claude and I was shocked how much time was spent just waiting for tokens to generate.

Do yourself a favor and try Codex. Then do yourself an even bigger favor and try composer 2.5 from Cursor. It's night and day difference. You don't even have time to get distracted, you stay in the zone.

React was incredible right until the end of the class based react components. It all became fucky really quickly past that point. These days I feel React is a tool that is foisted upon me, not one I choose on technical merits.
