love this, and the name "nub" is conceptually perfect

(1) adopts existing tech and improves, rather than a greenfield project with worse compat

(2) the way it uses existing node mechanisms to implement itself (+oxc) is very smart

(3) i like that the node.js-forever crowd has a way to use the newest stuff

Ask HN: JumpCloud Billing and Cancellation

Hey everyone. I suspect many startups here use JumpCloud for IDP and SSO, as we do.

We’ve found their billing policies to be quite unfair:

- Cancellation with 30 day notice and in writing only

- Must delete all users/computers manually before cancellation

- Locked admin dashboard effectively prevents admins from performing those steps — in cases where an invoice hasn’t been paid (or if a business has refused on valid grounds), there is then no way to comply with cancellation policies, since users/computers can’t be deleted.

JumpCloud even insists on billing after cancellation has been submitted, again because of this dashboard / users / computers conflict.

Has anyone else run into this?

Yes, there are many ways to do that now, in under 5 minutes. Cloudflare will set all of that up just fine. GSuite is much easier to set up than CPanel.

It seems to me that authorization services like JumpCloud should always provide some way to contact support when you are locked out.

Otherwise, how can one obtain support? Or notify them of some issue?

Does anyone happen to know where I can send an email to let them know? JumpCloud's status page shows all normal, of course.
