Less than perfect chips are printed every day but the consequences of a less than optimal chip is ending up in a cheaper laptop vs. causing a big boom. I think we are doing wizard shit in rocketry, mistakes are just very loud.
Definitely unexpected from BO, knowing that everyone is okay, I feel for their engineers right now.

This is awesome. I had just written off the reduced quality of my external displays and gotten used to it. I feel like I just put my contacts in after turning on HiDPI. Just wanted to say thanks!
Edit: Also want to mention that window sizes and various UI elements also snapped into their 'intended' locations. Two screens, both 1440p, one ultrawide for anyone reading. YMMV.

I’ve used one of the drawing/pencil screen protectors on my iPad for years for the same reason and it works great. It does make the screen feel a little less sharp/crisp but solves the glare problem for me. I’m sure they’ve gotten better over the years as well.

Would they? If not for the audacious decision to attempt to land an orbital booster with F9 and the public display of the failures that led to the inspirational success of the first landing, how many of those brilliant young engineers would have decided to pursue a career in a boring and tired space industry?
