I wonder if we can do that thing that guy did on Facebook a long time ago-- buy an ad showing how much you are being tracked, something like "Hey user X, we know you are based in london, uk and we know you are age range XX etc etc"

It has become a proxy for "I don't like this article, so it must be a LLM"

To me, it feels like lazy karma farming, as these comments often do get a few upvotes.

And of course, accuse a 100 posts if being LLM, you are guaranteed to be right at least once, then like astrologers you can claim success.

Is there anything we can do to discourage this type of lazy and low effort posting?

9 years ago was 2017-- and by that time Google was already doing sleazy SEO shit, scanning peoples emails to who them ads, trying to make ads seem like general search results etc etc

All 3 were on a chat where I was asking about tips on a mobile game.

Needless to say, I cancelled my plan. Im not paying money to see ads

here is the UK we can get liability insurance. For me, as a one person limited company, it was around 200 pounds, and it was tax deductible. There is no reason to have 25,000 euro deposit.

Its quite simple, at least by HN rules. If you dont like an article, post "This is LLM" and move on. Within 5 minute your post will be voted t o the top.

This is getting really tiring. I keep getting downvoted but I will keep pointing out this sucks -- no criticism, no challenging of ideas, just shit post "This is AI" and move on.

But do ordinary people care? They can claim its a turnoff but does it actually make a difference to the bottom line? Skimming thru the article, it doesnt seem so.

People can complain all they want, just like they complain about ads but never use an ad blocker

All this means is: Calvin and Hobbes will die out, as hardly anyone in the new generation (kids born in 2000s) know about this comic.

I can understand the art vs commercialism debate, but this is going too far in the other direction.
