Welcome to Chrome monopoly. Show as off as u are doing opensource (yeah 90% opensource) but hide DRM , do some weird trick to make YouTube fast using some shadow/hidden api, spread ads like malware using extension manifest v3 . Look at Andriod how hard it is to use ad blocker.

1 GB may show some statistics but it doesn't reflect the reality. Most of the time I find many other things matter like latancy, throughput, qos. I am currently on 45 mbps but still when i download it starts from 1 mbps and takes like 2 minute to reach 45 mbps meaning do matter especially browsing. However I must say during my intership at India the internet was very good. Its like 10$ and you are done for 1 month with free calls .

I think dedicated firewall can help a lot. Like if I use spotify i should be able to use firewall and tell spotify app can connect only to https://*.spotify.com if there are other url it should ask permission for that. I think this would help a lot. Especially when facebook implants its tracker to most app using sdk

I agree with your statement but there are other sides too.
Regarding ads:
Showing ads like "Girl Mobile Video Talk" with description "Girl Mobile Number Live Video Call" with "Install Link" in a youtube ads is unacceptable. And the worst thing is you cannot even turn off that ads without being turning on ads personalization.
Regarding Money:
10$ may be a cup of coffee for you but in other side of world people are earning 200$ of salary so they just can't afford it. So many people don't have privilege like average Americans have?
Regarding supporting creators.
Sure ads pay creator but showing ads every 10minute , beginning of video and end of video is total BS. And even creator are already using their own ads like "This video is sponsored by Brilliant.org" so I don't mind blocking ads.

tbh JS is popular only because of browser monopoly. JS became popular because of internet usage otherwise it would just die. It started with 1997 changed little at 1998 and 4th edition was even abandoned lol. and it took so long to evolve after that. in 2019 there was update and from 2015 we are seeing good progress. no we still cannot avoid because browser needs it. Hopefully wasm can replace but it still has long way to go.
So i don't subscribe to idea that js is not popular because of browser monopoly.

"Thank you for being an iOS app developer. We understand that Basecamp has developed a number of apps and many subsequent versions for the App Store for many years, and that the App Store has distributed millions of these apps to iOS users. These apps do not offer in-app purchase — and, consequently, have not contributed any revenue to the App Store over the last eight years."
To me it is very very rude. And free apps do contribute to app store. And they do charge 99$ so APPLE should stop saying they have not contributed to revenue for 8 years they do have paid 99$.
