This is what I often describe as doing agile vs being agile. Most large companies are constitutionally incapable of being agile, for a while host if reasons I don’t feel like iterating here, but I’m sure you can fill in the blanks.

But they are more than capable of putting in rules and processes that allow them to do agile. The problem is that doing agile without being agile does far more harm than good.

Ignore crypto. 98% of it is bullshit and fraud, and you (and I) aren’t smart enough to pick out the 2% that isn’t.

Yes. I tip and tip heavily in almost all circumstances. I consider myself very lucky to have a comfortable job that pays me very well. Tipping is one infinitesimally small way in which I can say thank you to folks who work in the service industry.

I’d encourage anyone who can afford it to do the same.

This is one of those things, and there are many of them, that Elon says strictly for attention, not because he believes it or has any intention to follow through with it.

I’ve long thought an easy solution to this would be to block sending to a mailing list over a certain size (say 1k, but may depend on context) to only admins of that list.
