Well, nothing is B&W. If you penalize people for making some bad decisions, they will not make any decisions.

There's not a single person only making good decisions. Bigger the corp, much harder to keep it successful.

Reason why You and I are not in their position is that we would probably make much more mistakes.

Exactly. Google's "don't be evil policy" was never applied on Google itself. It was enforced on users, advertisers and publishers. Roughly 15 years ago, it no longer applied to advertisers. 50% of ads (if not more) are utter scams.

O call it shelf for stupid HP shitboxes, with no redundancy, high consumption and low performance.

I bet these are old corporate scrap metal with something horrid like i3-9100T. Nothing a wall mounted Chinese NUC with 12-13th gen i7, 2x32GB DDR4, 2x PCI-e 4.0 NVMe, 2x LAN can't do much better for price of that NOT-rack and fraction of electricity.

And those which return will have zero loyalty to firm.

Once you were dumped for AI gamble, you will never do the extra work, because you will probably be dumped in year or so, when someone else will get same or different stupid idea.

But it's not stupid idea, it's more like desperate attempt to remain in game in competitive market by doing what everyone else does. Idea crafted to final decision by people paid to see a bigger picture ... which unfortunatelly stop seeing smaller things which matters.

Being incompetent didcause people to lose job which required certain level of competence. Job they shouldn't have in fiest place.

Social engineering is just that, exploiting people having insufficient intellect for the job.

Pathetic attempt to gain some readers through high DRAM prices by linking old neverending story of 3 big DRAM manufacuters ... somehow trying to tie it to unrelated present prices.

Seriously, in preseng, price spike is pure result of offer/demand and massive backlog. And increased margins which can finance increase in production.

Dumb people are dumb. And will be. Their ability to learn from experience is almost non-existent. They are biggest security threat. Corporate structure didn't identify their mental limits and gave them way more access. So Mitnick, as outsite observer identified them and did good job.

I might say "sorry for your loss of job" .... but seriously not. You shouldn't got that job in first place.

Atleast you can brag about getting unemployed thanx to Mitnick.
