Even GPT-5.4 is ancient compared to intelligence of 5.6 although those are only 4 months apart. We're talking about at least twice the capabilities and that's scary to achieve in such a short timeframe.

Well, i'm not sure who your customers are (except companies in Russia, NK..), but european employers would break laws by allowing your software to be used, long even before AI became a thing and especially after the EU AI Act
has passed. To put it mildly, no sane corporation would allow such software to be used which tells me a bit about the sanity of the current VC landscape.

As a counterpoint, i've worked with enough math PhD's over my career who couldn't wrap their head intuitively around many concepts from software engineering, while others had no problems in doing so even from folks without any stem background. We often undererstimate how much field knowledge we aquire over the years and overestimate how easy it is for others to catch up.

It's funny how you applied on your own argument several logical fallacies about why ai is only a threat to people who have been taught "recipies" versus who know what L1 cache miss is.
Actually it's sad there are people out there dumb enough to believe knowing L1 cache is any different than knowing recipies when it comes to the story which jobs AI will take. I'm convinced by now it will be the jobs of those people believing such crap.

I've switched 3 months ago to Codex because Claude got incredibly stupid. 6 months ago vice versa. It doesn't matter if you use Codex or Claude. Both will fuck with you at some point. Though Codex probably less.
