When I ask people to code FizzBuzz I:

  - give them ~30 minutes on their own machine
  - they get to pick the language they code in
  - I leave the room for large parts of it
  - I bring them a drink
  - I tell them I want to see what they can do and that I don't care if they complete it
  - permit them to search on the internet (as long as they don't copy/paste a solution)

I see this usually:

  - they finish in a few minutes
  - they just can't do it, even with hints

No but I permit internet access as long as they don't search for the solution (I trust them not to do that, and don't monitor what they do)

To answer my question for The Netherlands, it is my impression that cops are held to a higher standard and are punished equally—if not more harshly—than normal citizens when caught.

What does that even mean? And do they completely destroy the sampled data from all their systems incl. backups? Can’t find that anywhere.

If not: is it really anonymous?

Really? That's no way to live man, cheer up. No one can predict the future, and doomsayers have always been around and will always be around. Sure: things might get hairy, but even then we will manage (or perhaps some of us will).

And if not: then not. Enjoy yourself in the meantime while doing the best you can in terms of being environmentally conscious

I've become comfortable with using vim /within a file/, what I'm having trouble with is using vim while having multiple files open (keeping track of which ones I've saved, switching between them, etc.)

My current workflow is to have multiple files open each in a separate terminal tab, but navigating between them Cmd+Shift+[ and ] feels suboptimal.

Does anyone have any great tips? I work on Java and Ruby (rails) projects most of the time.
