Don't know much about corporate traffic usage, but at some cheap VPS place like Hetzner you get 20TB traffic per month included für less than 4€.
Seems like a lot of traffic to me, probably is next to nothing or would cost more.

It’s actually compressed. It uses https://github.com/nodeca/pako and then applies base64. Try entering hundreds of "a" and you’ll see that the base64 doesn’t really get much longer.

From the site itself:
> 1. All processes have a core of complexity that cannot be designed away and therefore must be assumed by either the system or the user.
> 2. Ensure as much as possible of the burden is lifted from users by dealing with inherent complexity during design and development.
> 3. Take care not to simplify interfaces to the point of abstraction.

You wouldn't believe how much tiktok helps at parenting, giving tiny bits of information every day to help with the problems you have with a newborn. To have you constantly updated on first-aid for newborns...
Same thing also goes for a ton of other topics, eg. woodworking.
Of course, you have to get into the right circles first, bit there is so much knowledge, easy to grasp, not much time or effort needed. But it takes a couple of days to get there.

All the time actually. I have monthly folders, automatically backed up by my phone to the NAS. Each month my wife and I sift through the photos and delete all duplicates and boring stuff and then we have around 150 photos per month that we sometime just have on as a slideshow.
Yearly, we create printed photo albums that we look at regularly and show to our kids.
But all this only works after lots and lots of hours of manual work filtering the photos.
Still, over the last 15 years or so for two people we have way more than 100k photos stored on the NAS.
