I suspect the third reason might be that most media is owned by a handful of people. If there's no money in news, why are these companies owned by billionaires?
[0]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concentration_of_media_ownersh...

>I'll never be a rich man. But I will lead a rich life.
it's interesting how relative this statement is. For a lot of people, being able to lead a rich life means you're already rich; if you're not worrying about money every day (and i mean literally checking your bank account before going to the grocery store), you are rich.

Oh, dang. The screenwriting she's done for fantastic beasts is not on par with her novel writing.
If she's something like a show runner here with hands on each script, it would make the series suffer. Some people are great at story tellingin one medium but that doesn't always translate.

It sounds like you found a problem you're improving. I don't want to stop you. But to me it feels like a bandaid fix, a short term stop gap for a larger issue.
The reason it got a negative response from me is that I look at the problem from a renters point of view, and not an owners. Housing is in short supply, REITs make billions of profit, homelessness is on the rise. And here your selling point is "get a new revenue stream from your tenants".
The solution of negligent owners shouldn't be renters paying more money for yet another middle man just to get their apartment fixed.

You're right in your thoughts. It's the perfect form factor for those single player narrative games, especially if you don't own a tv w/ a steamlink or the like. I usually have trouble finishing games, because i'm often distracted. I found when I can't alt tab to the internet, i focus a lot longer on narrative games. The steam deck has been wonderful for me.

I just tried playing Curse of Strahd with chatgpt4. It seems like it generally does okay, but changes so many things for no real reason -- often to determiental levels (ie, the first two characters i ran into knew about artifacts that are spoilers and they shouldn't know anything about, but they said exactly where they where, lol).
I can't wait for an LLM that's built specifically for text adventures like this, when there's a very clear rule set/world/adventure guide like DnD has for modules.
