Everybody who's not totally limited in their mindsets. Twitter/X is uncensored. I think open minds who are hungry for the raw, real truth prefer such platform, rather than one that's regulated by one political party of one particular country.

Why? X is one of the rare uncensored publishing / communication networks we have. Do you prefer living in a highly regulated, censored pre-gated world where information is hidden if somebody "feels offended" by it or state / ngo actors dont want something to go public?

The brainwashing against free, open, uncensored and community-corrected platforms is crazy.

Keep in mind that the rest of the world does not even come close to US salaries. Buying a mac in most countries in the world means giving away multiple monthly salaries. Even in Germany, one of the richest countries in the world, a simple 16" Mac goes way way beyong the average salary.

Still going strong on a 2019 Intel MacBook, just for economic reasons.

WARNING! The link they posted on this Gitlab issue is a scam redirect loop, leading to something that uBlock rates as malicious. Also the /contact URL is not reachable, the entire .li of annas archive seems to be a scam. I'm writing this 2 days after this hackernews post went viral, it might be that somebody changed the links in between.

100% agreed! Reality is, many german businesses are just flying under the radar, as they simply dont want or cannot deal with all the tax crazyness and bureaucracy.

German here. And this is just the standardized SETUP! Wait until you have an edge case or a complicated tax situation, or - dare you - you want to work from a different country.

Germany feels like the government tries to make everything as hard and complicated as possible, to block ANY steps forward. It feels like organized sabotage to me.

Worth 29 billion by the way. The impact of Cursor on the tech world is so huge it's hard to even calculate. Maybe hackernews is totally overrated as a "launch tool".

Friendly reminder: Some nuclear silo facilities in the US still use 3,5" diskettes. Some highly complex system are by architecture, security issues or by incompetence still stuck in decades old tech. We as engineers oftentimes have to work with that, and keep the system running, if we like it or not.

You cannot refactor an battlecarrier designed in 1979 so easily ;)

Bro i feel you so much! i am developing an app aimed at Intel Macs, but i cannot even publish it, because you need a Silicon mac to use the Apple Developer Program. It's so unbelievable brainless. The market still holds 10-20% intel devices, especially outside the US and in some high-end environments, where 128GB RAM machines cannot easily be replaced with a silicon mac.

Sometimes it feels like Apple has no clue how their users actually work and what the industry needs.

Good idea, but a hard dealbreaker issue: clicking "Yes, totally" or "Hell no" is never accepted, as it always returns "Couldn't verify you're human — please try again.". Clicking a country in the list will also show a white page. But keep going, you have built something useful here my friend ;)
