That's my plan too. I do appreciate devices are coming and will be buying them, but the whole point is to trust custody of the software, which isn't handled by the preinstalled os in any scenario with any os.

The other, better way is to lower government cost of building by having loose zoning and approving everything that fits the zon*ng fast with minimal expense. The non government cost side you should not be broadly subsidizing (you should be fixing market abuses that drive prices up lile making it disadvantageous to sit on unproductive land but thats a complex side topic)

Pe is good when it is taking big risks on something new. That is hard so that is not what most pe does. Most pe is just figuring out ways to insert artificial inefficiencies into the system to syphon money off. Ie tax arbitrage, patent/copyright abuse, geographic or other market power abuse, etc. Basically find a way to move money around the system with no net benefit to society while having a bunch of it fall in your pocket is 90% of what pe does and its poison. The other 10% is vitally important to continued growth and prosperity and its often hard to tell which is happening until its over.

At this point its probably more like 12% temporarily because the more correct way to measure it is to take the 1980s inflation measure (from before all the medelling to make it artificially lower) and raise rates by 25 bips every quarter until that number is zero, then back it off slowly

I hate them too, its why i went with the toyota bz. They have the very loud fabric rollover cover. It was worth the annoyances of a toyota not yet being fully baked as an electric car to have a way to have the stupid glass roof for my kids and delrte it when i am in there. If tpyota can release a fully baked electric car (one pedal, self driving, etc) i will upgrade

The other half of it is that it is in the incumbents interest to have these stories because they want the government to regulate ai into an oligopoly of incumbents so they can maximize benefit to themselves and stop new entrants. Ai benefits will be competed away to the consumer benefit justlike every other benefit if the government doesnt ruin it with regulation, entrenching the current incumbents and causing deadweight loss to society forever

Well, you got me all wrong. I own one very inexpensive hunting rifle and maybe 3 bullets for it and I haven't touched any of it in about 8 years. I'm not a gun nut, I'm just not a moron. Despite me not practicing what I preach, what I said is very obvious if you think about it even a little bit. Also, a point of order, the guns are not for fighting the corrupt government, they are an insurance policy and discipline method to be operated as the last resort. There should be enough guns and ammo in general population hands that the corrupt government needs to be wary of what sort of corruption they try to pull, that's the main point of guns in public hands. If things get to the point you actually are using your guns to fight the corrupt government it means the deterrent failed and you are about to spend an awful lot of life and likely your own trying to right things via guerrilla warfare, which can be effective against a superior force at the cost of a lot of lives on the weaker force side. It's not safe at all. It's just less bad than the alternative and has a nonzero chance of being good. Also, it's a bit foolish to think we are anywhere near the point of it being the right time to actually use guns against the government. It's not that corrupt or unjust from a historical perspective.

So true. The number one risk to your life and liberty is the government. The number 2 is rich guys. Both play a vital role if managed properly and proper management requires copious amounts of instrumenta od violenceto be available to the general populace. Its the deterence and rectification pathway for when all else has failed to keep the government and rich guys from abusing you.
