What frustrates me is that many people that claim to want a faster horse don’t actually use them where they are available

Bandcamp to me is the ideal “horse” for music (and I’m praying it stays a horse)

Those complaining about Chrome dominance but still not personally using Firefox is another example (even with all of Mozilla’s controversies, Firefox is still the “fastest horse” available imo)

Not being satisfied with the horse selection is understandable, but actively furthering the obsolescence of the available horses is not (even if the individual impact is minimal)

Make a Bandcamp account and follow users that buy music similar to your tastes. Then, semi-frequently, browse through the feed of everything your followed users have bought recently and sample it until you find something you like. Prune and add followed users as necessary to make it more likely to find something you like.

This didn’t ever happen, but may happen in the future. The usage of the WASI blob is a temporary alternative.

AFAIK there will be a forthcoming blog post that’ll clear things up.

This is my thinking too. A maximally useful code AI would include verbatim reproduction (since presumably the code it was trained on was written that way for a reason relevant to its function). A maximally useful art AI has comparatively little reason to ever want to output verbatim training inputs.
