Also note, that there is DD-WRT, which is a similar, but different project. Some routers might be supported by one, but not the other. I have a Netgear Nighthawk, for example, which is not supported by OpenWRT, but by DD-WRT.

For me it's about federation. I have my own server and chat with my family there. And I also have friends with accounts elsewhere and I can message them as well.
And I'm looking forward to integrations (Slack, Signal, ...) being more user-friendly, and easier to install, configure and maintain, so I can message others, too.

I was confused by that, too. But I think there are two classes here: The "Below Level 1" group, that is capable of deleting emails, and the "Can't Use Computer" group, that is unable to do so. The latter group contained 26% of all participants.

I was quite surprised to read that about a quarter of the participants weren't able to delete an email in their email app (the "Can't Use Computers" group). This was 2016, though, so maybe things have changed drastically since then. Does anyone know of a related, but more recent study?

I think the experience is more like an employee coming to you and asking you what you're looking for in a shoe, instead of entering an empty store and browsing all available shoes. I would certainly prefer some guidance, as I usually have no clue what I'm looking for.

I don't think that is an issue: The process should just help the user find the right shoe. If the user repeatedly picks shoes with a logo, he will be presented shoes of that brand, that the vendor has in stock. This is actually beneficial to the trademark holder.

Wow, I think this would be pretty useful as a shopping guide in an online shop: Let the user pick a few models they like and render more items based on the chosen ones. Present actual sneakers you have in stock at the last step.

Interestingly, the question whether this particular choice of code formatting in black adheres to pep8 is still an ongoing discussion[1][2][3][4]. Guido, for example, thinks that black's choice is not compatible with pep8 and I think he described the situation quite well on Python's Discourse[5]:
> So the root of this argument is that Black produces code that isn’t always in compliance with PEP 8. I say this is fine – if you use Black you don’t need PEP 8 to tell you how to format your code. (PEP 8 is still useful for other things like naming things.)
> Black optimizes for a different goal than PEP 8; PEP 8 optimizes for readability while Black sometimes compromises readability in order to satisfy other goals such as minimizing lines changed as code evolves.
> I don’t want to compromise PEP 8 though.
[1]: https://github.com/psf/black/issues/48
[2]: https://github.com/psf/black/issues/1178
[3]: https://github.com/psf/black/issues/1336
[4]: https://github.com/PyCQA/pylint/issues/289
[5]: https://discuss.python.org/t/pep-8-clarify-if-multiline-argu...
